For a car that's never really been cared for... you know, scratched in the self washing with the foam brush places, parked under a seagull tree, and generally not cared for..

I don't have to have the car perfect, just a big improvement over what it is now. It's a free job for a friend, where i'll be teaching him to care for his own car as we work..

Dawn Wash

Clay

PC - PI-III

SEC

Klasse

S100

Are they the proper steps? proper order? I'm trying Klasse for the first time, so feel free to yell! (i'm a big fan of trying new things on other peoples cars! )

Also, will the yellow pad/PI-III combo be enough to get 95% of the swirls/light etchings out? I'm not looking for perfection, just a marked improvement...

Thanks again!!

Jared,

You definitely will have a big improvement over what the car used to look like. I'm not sure which of the Klasse twins you're trying (AIO or SG), but honestly, depending on the car's condition, you might just want to save yourself the time and skip that step. Otherwise, the steps are in the right order. I've used the PI-III/SEC/S100 combo on several cars, and the results are usually quite stellar. The only limitation might be if the paint has suffered damage from the scratches/bird bombs you mentioned. If you can post some pics, that would be great!

David,

Thanks!

I was considering using the AIO because i'm not sure how much time he's going to put into the car after I get done with it, and would like to give him some lasting protection.

The paint is a Dark Blue Mica, and I love the color when clean.

I use the PI-III SEC S100 on my own black car and love every second of it.

I'll get some before/after pics of his, and some after pics of mine after wednesday when i do the work.
