Quick question..

Currently I only have the factory PC pad that comes with the 7336SP.

How do I wash and dry it best? I'm afraid to stick her in the washer/dryer, because of the metal bolt and backing pad.

Also, just out of curiosity, when I recieve my order from CMA with the backing pad and the orange power pad kit, how much of a difference will I notice in the cutting ability? I'm only using the PC for cutting right now, with PI-III, and applying the polish and wax by hand..

Thanks!

my factory pad exploded when I ran it trying to dry it. I suppose I was at setting '5' at the time, but it was starting to rip away from the backing even before that.

To make the pad last as long as you can without it exploding, don't run it wet. If you need to clean it then use it again, I would suggest cleaning it then squeeze as much out as you can followed by blotting it with a towel to remove more water.

To clean, I wet down and spray with Simple Green. It seems to cut through most stuff that will be on the pad. For the most success, always clean before the product dries on the pad.

Hope that helps a bit.

Well, as for running it while not on the surface of your vehicle, don't do it at all!

I learned that the first day when I did my friends car. Finished with the #1, lifted the PC up while it was goin on speed 6, and half of it flew off and hit my friend (who was standing next to me) square in the face.

While that was extremely hillarious, I wouldn't recommend it.

Ok, I ordered the PC kit from CMA.

I cleaned the stock pad by soaking it in a dawn/water bucket for a few minutes, then rinsing out with the hose. Worked great. She's drying now.

On a side note, the stock pad seemed to work wonders on my paint. If the CMA pads are as good as everyone says, i'm going to be as giddy as a school girl when I get to use em..

Here's hoping!

With a PC and the CMA kit you'll be amazed (Iwas) let us know how things work ouy

I tried this recently and found that it works much better than Dawn in removing the product. Hosed off after spraying with Simple Green and air dryed...:up
