Full G35 X Detail---Black+Mothers Reflections

Well today I spent a couple hours on my gf's Infinity G35 X and did a full detail. I decided to try out Mothers new Reflections on this detail. Let me say this. I will put this new product right on par with Zaino and thats really saying something. As far as durability goes only time will tell. For an OTC product this IMO is by far the best. IMO it is wetter looking than Zaino with a shine just as good and doesnt look as plasticy looking.

Now on to the detail. She had just taken it through the car wash when I got there. So I used Zaino clay to clay the car. I only did 2 panels and got ZERO dirt out of the paint and it felt no smoother so I ended the clay there. I went over the entire car with Formula 113 Bead X to get the spots the car wash missed. I then used 3M Swirl remover for dark cars and this really made this car smooth looking and removed the scratches. Then I did one coat of reflections. This is how it turned out.

BTW anybody here know if you can layer Reflections? It is advertised to have mild cleaners and I am affraid this may negate the previous layer.

Car wash

Bead X QD

Clay bar--2 panels=no dirt removal

3M swirl remover

Reflections

FX tire shine

The car looks GREAT! Hard o believe that it's an OTC wax. I guess i need to pick some up and give it a trial.

I thought the same exact thing. Hard to believe its an OTC product. It went on with my PC super easy and came of even easyer with my MF towels. She said it looks better now than it did when it was new. Oh BTW I also cleaned the interior but it wasnt really dirty to begin with. I may try topping reflections with S100 or the new reflections top coat if I can find some. I really dont think anything is going to make it look any better than it already does.

Go get yourself a bottle of the Reflections and you wont be disapointed.

:bow That looks incredible!

I was impressed by Reflections as well. Isn't it the easiest to remove item on the planet?

OMG it is so easy to remove it isnt even funny!! I could have almost just blown on the surface and it would have blown away. Well not really but almost.

Very nice detail (and the car too) :xyxthumbs

The big question is: does it stain trim ?

Also, what do you think of the FX Tire Shine ?

Looks glossy but I think I like it.

Gorgeous!!!

Great job and nice car.

Incidentally, I think the rear of that car would look a lot cleaner without that "passport" on the rear. I think the "G35x" should be removed as well.

I didnt notice any staining of trim and I love the FX tire shine. Glossy but not super BLINGing shiney

Looks like i'll be picking up a bottle to try....

For the price it is well worth it. It goes on and comes off so easy and looks fantastic. Time will tell how durable it is I guess. I hope it last's longer than NXT's whopping 2 weeks. I dont expect it to last as long as zaino but a full month or so would be nice.

First, let me say amazing job, Sweeeet! :xyxthumbs I like Mothers products, it's about time they came up with a good LSP. I am definetly trying this product. I use their metal polishes on every detail. However, I have to say I have never heard of the new Z2Pro looking plasticy. To me it's as deep and wet as anything. The old z2 and SG maybe, but Pro looks like crystal clear nuba. Your second pic shows the difference between that stuff and Zaino. The reflection is blurred causing a warm look whereas Z is more mirror like. Either would be a good choice I'm sure.
