What product fills the best. My arsenal is:

PB SSR2

PB Polish

Z2

WG Sealant

EXP

Pinnacle Paste

3M SMR

Glanz Wax

PC with all sorts of pads

I keep trying to fix my buddies black Tundra, but it would be easier and quicker for him to just fill... Is there anything I can get locally by like 3M...

3m SMR for dark cars followed with a glaze like IHG is a popular locally available filling product combo. Maybe the truck needs an incredible amount of time via PC or a rotary to truly remove the defects.

If you want to do one last attempt to correct with only products available locally, you might want to seek out a good paint and body supply shop that carries the 3m Perfect It 3000 line. I understand they are very similar to the old PI III line. The Swirl Remover ( former PI III MG) and the Rubbing Compound ( at least in the PI III form) worked well for me via PC in removing defects. The key is cutting and polishing pads, plenty of passes and plenty more time and patience.

PB SSR2 - contains abrasives, will REMOVE imperfection not HIDE

PB Polish - contains abrasives, , will REMOVE imperfection not HIDE

Z2 - Sealant, no filling capabilites

WG Sealant - Sealant, no filling capabilites

EXP - Sealant, no filling capabilites

Pinnacle Paste - no filling capabilites

3M SMR - contains abrasives, will REMOVE imperfection not HIDE (although 3M carries SMR for light and dark cars)

Glanz Wax - Sealant, no filling capabilites

Z5 contains no abrasives and has filling capabilities. I'm sure there are others but they escape me at this time. I'm sure others will be able to joggle my memory.

The fillers may afford only that: temporary good looks but then you'll have to work again on it every few months.

If you just want filling some OTC choices are available that are affordable, work well, and add to the appearance.

Mothers Sealer Glaze (step 2) and Megs Step 2 Polish.

Use either before any pure wax and it should help a lot.

BTW, I know the Mothers SG can be layered for more filling...I assume the same with the Megs Polish.

Hope this helps.
