After stripping the paint the true condition of the paint was more visible. Obviously the swirls were apparent prior to stripping the paint but it became obvious that the previous detailer used fillers as much more inclusions came to the surface.

Swirls; marring; holograms, scratches - this paint work had it all!

What the heck? There shouldn't be any pigment IN a clearcoat, or it wouldn't be very clear lol.

Were there specific sections that gave off the paint? I wonder if specific trim or something was single stage?

Nice detail man the paint looks perfect now. Customer must have been happy it looks like he never washed his wheels.

I love to drive those things

Thanks!! Yes, the customer was floored.. we both were out looking at the vehicle during the full sun inspections during the correction and I am glad due to the fact that tye sun was gone once I was finished

Yup, tinted clear. Looks very nice Jason. Are you detailing in Kansas or did you snag an out of towner? Too bad it rained, I hate when that happpens after all that work.

Thanks David... The customer is a transplant.. he works for GM and wanted to get his ride "Deep Glossed" for the Woodward Dream Curise next week....

At the end of the day when it was raining I thought to myself how glad I was that I took the sun shots I did while it was out!

Awesome job Jason. How long did it take you???

I noticed you had the car foamed. Was it hard to wash it like that in the full sun??

Thanks Pat.. Although it looked bright it was early in the morning and I had no problems with the foam... I normally foam no later than 7am'ish

12 and some change on the paint, not all panels were compounded.

great work

it looks like you spend a lot of time there...:)

tell your client to wash his wheels from time to time

:) :) :)

Tinted clear is a process that's been in use now for years, it can be found on Infrared, Victory Red, Mary Kay Pink! etc

In response to all the Clean Wheel comments! I do clean my wheels, I have Hawk HPS+ pads on the front wheels and Hawk HPS on the rear. The racing version (+) put off a lot of dust the rears you can barely see the dust.

Last week it rained just about everyday including the day Jason detailed my car, rain plus brake dust looks like mud!

Now, I need you guys to vote for Jason's hard work and make this car the top cruiser.

From now until 8/16 @ 6pm you can vote to make this car the "Top Cruiser"

Great job ,wonder what is the reasoning behing tinting the clear?

Thanks Mixer... not sure why but the paintwork sure is great looking.. when I was doing close up inspections in the sun I became dizzy from the depth of the paint and the flake.. it was really nice looking

Thanks.. it was just the front wheels that were that bad and they weren't really caked on... if they were as bad as they looked I would have had to break out the Meg's wheel brightener
