Just got my order today. What's with the consistency? It will not even pour out, super thick. How to get it more liquidy?

shake, shake, shake.........shake, shake, shake. Shake yo.........

Do that and the consistency will be just right. If that doesn't work, sit it in the sun while you do your prep work and that will.

If your bottle was like mine it is a little to full to really mix well. Once I did two car there was enough room in the bottle to get it mixed up real well.

If you warm it up in warm water or leave it somewhere warm, it'll be a lot more watery.

845IW seems to get close to a paste when it's cold.

Yeah, get it a little warmer, and that will help. Once you have used a bit, and have some "shake room" in the bottle, shaking it well will work, also.

I just got my IW (that I had to order :furious: ) and man you really have to shake that stuff! I gotta try heating it a little or something because after 5 mins of straite shaking, it still didn't change the consistency too much. Tried a little on my kitchen sink just to see how it beaded and man, that stuff beads water like no other. Its going 3 days strong in my sink, I think thats some dang good durability with dawn always hitting it.

I just put my bottle in a Tupperware container with warm water for like 15 mins. After that it was like liquid and easy to use.

There is no need to warm it up. Once it starts in the bottle, it will thin out pretty quickly. It will resist, but it gives up finally. When shaking, try to do it in all possible directions, not just up&down, but twisting. This will do the trick.

The smell is not too bad, but not the best either, lol Well, it did start to breakdown today after a few very good shakes. You can actually hear it in the bottle now.

during spring and summer simply letting 845 sit in the sun will thin it out quite a bit. The new formula might react slightly differnetly than the old tho. For those who've used both did you notice any difference in application or hazing?

I use the new. When it arrived, it was so thick that it didn't move in the bottle. After a REAL good shake (room temp.) it thinned out to an almost watery consistency.

78-80 F seems to be just about right. More becomes more liquid and less become more solid.

But as mentioned, sometimes a good shaking loosens it up.

When I got my first bottle, you could tell it must have set on the shelf quite a while since it was separated and thick. After some industrial-strength shaking, it was more like runny baby snot (sorry, but that's the closest image I can come up with). One it was mixed, it worked fine.
