Anyone see the commerical for "no-paint" lexan plastic from GE?

Saw a commerical on TV last night, not even on late night. Looks like GE is really trying to push their Lexan coated plastic main stream, stating that painting panels is a thing of the past.

Would we still be able to detail cars? I want to make my car shine more than the idiot who never wants to detail his car. It wouldn't be fair if everyones car had the same shine. :p

When ever I see this commercial I say to myself

how is it not going to scratch.

Have you ever seen an acrylic aquarium after some

time. It scratches and clouds like crazy. Looks terrible.

I don't think it's gonna pan out.

Well there are a few plastic polishes out there :)

As for protectents and waxes I'm sure the zanio, blackfire, s100/p21s as ours will welcome the new market to help their sales.

If you can find a link that is good send it to me, I am very interested.

P.S. What's your real name anyhow, getting tired of calling you the Ginger bread dude. :) :p

try this I just did a search on Lexan and its like the second or third thread down. Its a thread in Autopia University and I think its still fairly close to the top. :xyxthumbs

PS My name is Anthony, by the way. :) More people probably know me as Jngrbrdman though. :p

There will always be a way to make your car sparkle more than the average car. It doesn't matter what the panels are made out of or coated with. Nothing is idiot proof 'cause they keep building better idiots!
