another 2-car one day detailing shindig

I'll post pics as soon as the owner emails me the pics we took (someone borrowed my digicam). Did my car this morning from 7-11am. A black integra from 2-7ish: : wash, 303, clay, attempt with #9 and scratchx, VM, s100, mother's QD, etc etc.. Tried to use the #9 and scratchx, but it was hecka hard to get the stuff off, both my car and the teg (stopped #9 after one panel with the teg). No idea why since I used the same method with ease on a SLK230 and a new foam pad. Maybe it's a Honda/Acura thing. Then again, it was the first time I used the Clay Magic lube & clay. Had no issues using #9 after mother's clay & FI on a SLK230. :nixweiss

The integra had a crapload of swirls ...a ton of a crapload :D. You'll see...the before pic is horrendous. VM hid the majority of these swirls. I think you have to be less than a foot away to see the minor swirls now, vs. 6-10 ft :).

The owner was very pleased and understood the limitations of non-PC detaling skills. Ok, I'm going to sleep, wake up sore and enjoy the weekend.....and post pics when I get em .

While Advil is part of a standard detail kit, the Ferrari being what it is, dictates the need of Viagra as an inclusive element of a successful detail...

Nice pics gnahc79 :) Do you have a pic of the same swirled area "after"? Just curious.

If #9 by hand didn't do much for the swirls try DACP or 3M Fine Cut maybe. Or go over it with #9 again... :D Swirl removers seem to be pretty mild when used by hand.

I was borrowing the owner's digi and took the same after area pics...never got em, though :nixweiss . There's swirls still, but more of the 1-2 ft. swirl vs. you seeing the swirls from 8-10 ft. She's happy with the results, though. I have a black Accord and light blue Legend coming up, so I might try the #9 again.
