Acid Rain in N.E.

I was reading an article in a magazine called Scientific Journal..It has an article on acid rain...more so in the North East U.S..

It said the acid rain has gotten worse in the last 2 years showing high contents of sulphuric acid and a few other acids. Most of the pollutants come from the mid-west U.S. and Canada. area's of high manufacturing and power stations...Maine,Vermont and New Hamphire amd Massachusetts are suffering from lakes and ponds going dead from the rain and run off. It is also causing corrosion of cement and steel structures. They also said it increases the oxidation and deteriation of auto parts.

Now I notice that after a rain my truck is covered with rain spots and the windshield is also.. I wash and QD after a rain..but with all the products we have available to us..what would be a good product the to fight any acid rain damage to the paint... Klasse, 4*,mequiars, ect. any one from NE using a product that they find that helps deter acid rain etch..or the water spots remove easy with a wash or QD.... please chime in.

It's my recommendation that you wax the car bi-monthly with whatever you want like Blitz, #16, 3M Show Car paste or FinishKare Pink wax (those are some of the heavier waxes).

However, for ultimate wax protection, I recommend Collinite Insulator Wax or Collinite 476s Super Doublecoat.

Or if you have experience with the Klasse twins (All In One and Sealant Glaze), then I'd use them topped monthly with Collinite.

That will provide excellent protection against acid rain and the salt in the winter.

If you have any boutique waxes like P21s, Souveran or even Poorboys Nattys, you can layer those on top of what I mentioned for more pizazz in your shine.

Most products don't last in the NorthEast (I have tried them all with the exception of Zaino which also has awesome durability).

yes...I have all the Klasse stuff..and also collinite ...I use these 2 for winter protection...

for winter I use KSG and collinite ISW or Grand Marque..I find these hold up real nice thru out the winter...

Thanks Splichy
