I did a light bit of detailing for a customer this weekend.

He wanted his 85 911 clayed polished and waxed.

The car is in fantastic shape. The pictures do not do the car and it's owner justice for the years of loving care it has received.

It was showing a tiny bit of light oxidization. Nothing compared to many i have seen.

Here are the before wash shots.

Here are the shots of the vehicle after the Polish. I started with po85rd (thanks Phil for it) at 1100-1200 and did not get the look i wanted. I bumped it up to 1400 and was able to get a deep gloss free of oxidation.

Here is the car after the 2 layers of CG 50/50 concours wax. IMHO this became a completely different red.

Wow, that is sure a difference. It's great to see an owner who's taken care of their car for a long time and kept it that wonderful looking. You brought it back to like new condition.

The owner had kept it up, most of the credit goes to him.

Very nice!!!!!!!!! Deep and wet. Awesome.

BTW, couldn't you get some cheap MF Towels to use instead of those nice ones?

Nope i really like picking mf towel lint of the canopy. :S I will be going back to my waffle weave towels for the next one. :P

Very nice. I owned a Guards Red 1983 911 and they do shine up well. Looks like your customer's got a 996 cab in the garage as well.
