WHAT ARE GOOD TOWELS FOR DRYING AND BUFFING

For drying I like twisted loop like Gyeon Silk Dryer or Rag Company’s new Slim Dryer. Griots was one of the first with twisted loop I believe with their PFM’s; nice double-sided but large one can get a bit unruly. Pretty much everybody makes twisted loop drying towels so personal preference...

Sumthin’ cool for us old coots - Challenger TA

Matte/Satin PPF is pretty prevalent these days; Cybertrucks usually always get satin it seems. G-Wagons seem to like satin too. All in all, we go through a lot of satin film but gloss likely holds a 3-1 edge overall. For the folks/coworkers here who have satin on their vehicles many mention...

Sumthin’ cool for us old coots - Challenger TA

I asked Todd and fortunately, in this case as it was recently restored, it was in good shape so nothing needed. He said "It’s called “organisol”. Used by Mopar in the late 60’s and early 70’s..." Google seems to confirm that: Organosol (sometimes called “Organisol”) was a factory-applied...

Sumthin’ cool for us old coots - Challenger TA

🤣 We had avocado shag carpeting in the first house we bought in 1991, left over from the 70’s. I’m sure it seemed like a good idea at the time. The Challenger also has a green vinyl top 😳 The Goodguys meet is in town this weekend so probably the first stop for the Challenger. Been a nice few...

    topping CSL

Always liked CSL topped with Gyeon CanCoat; CanCoat made up for the gloss & water behavior that CSL was missing and was more durable than EXO. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

    Best ceramic coating bar none?

There’s so many great coatings out there these days that it really all boils down to personal preference. With great polishing/prep one would be hard pressed to notice a difference in appearance on identical cars lined up next to each other. Feynlab was one that looked a bit brighter, kind of...

    I had a dream...

Do not doubt the power & economy generated by the Turbonator! A mere $17.99 will net you unholy power and fuel efficiency that would make even the most rigorous hyper-miler envious. Buncha skeptics around here… Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

Think I`m done messing around with coatings, final thoughts...

Nothing much from where I'm sitting. In general, ease of use has improved considerably for most coatings. Somewhat optimistic claims still prevalent on many new releases..."Simulated results..."

What New Products are you trying in 2025

If you'd like to try Over Coat I've got around 1/2 a bottle of the latest 5.2 version in my cabinet that I won't be using (Winter has arrived and don't think I'll be washing for quite a while!). PM me your address and I'll ship it to you at no cost to you...and who knows, a pack of those glass...

Seeking Comments about the NEW Rupe's LHR21/15 Mark V (5) Polishers

I’ve only used the machines very briefly, most noticeable was smoothness. I asked the guys who use them all day, every day and their preference is the corded Rupes Mark V. Smooth, quiet and consistent power were the primary reasons mentioned. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

Polish Angel High Gloss and CQuartzUK

I went through a High Gloss phase a few years ago, quite enjoyed it and thought it was very pleasing. Despite my desire *not* to like it, I’m currently a bit taken by POLISHANGEL’s Cosmic Spritz 2.0 after getting a hold of some to try. It seems a bit ‘richer’ in appearance than previous Cosmic...

Mixing Ceramic and Graphene in One

I wouldn’t worry about any infinitesimal amount of graphene pixie dust causing any dangerous reaction as the base chemistry of graphene ceramics and otherwise ‘plain’ ceramic products is allegedly pretty much the same. What I *would* be worried about is the possibility of an unholy mess being...

    Cordless Hand Vac

Got a chance to play with one of these today. Definitely not a necessity but sure would be a convenient luxury! Light, surprisingly powerful and smaller than it looks, it was a treat. A little pricey though [emoji53] https://youtu.be/peWhvD3HoMs?si=M0yLnKSFnGFu3W2Z Sent from my iPhone using...

Vetted, Hotrods & Classics show today.

7 hours in 90+ heat & humidity was a bit tiring but bonus points for Bubba’s Shave Ice truck being only 50 ft from us [emoji846] Blue Torino probably my favorite of the day: Super clean GTO: Nice to see the old school stuff [emoji41] Edit: “Vettes, Rods & Classics”...

    Benefit for Make-A-Wish

Every year a local collector puts on a big show to raise money for the regional Make-A-Wish charity. As primary sponsors, we are often tasked with driving cars from their garage to the show. Quite the parade each trip… Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

2016 Cayman - Partial respray, PPF and whatever else comes to mind.

Well, didn`t get to see it in the shop; picked it up during yesterday`s Columbus C & C they were hosting where it was parked out front when we got there. In the end, passenger side fender, hood and front end resprayed, gouge in rocker touched up, few misc chips on roof and doors touched up...
