Cyclo users-stand up and be counted!

At least two of us admit to having one of these all metal works of art which only get better with every use. I gotta know how many others will fess up to having one of these?

Wearing gloves - another hot topic

Thought I would pass this along. Started wearing gloves while detailing the cars just decided that all the chemicals can not be good for you. Problem is that latex gloves and my hands just do not get along, after about only 20 minutes the gloves are literally filled with salty water, which...

Bugs don't bug me as much anymore

Another neat observation after using Klasse on our two new VW's (silver). Took the diesel out for a trip this past weekend, first since putting three or four (forgot) layers of SG on the car. Went to midstate New York, some of the locks on the Champlain Canal and while we did the back roads...

'Big Blue' m.f. towels-just where does the water go

Just got done wiping two cars down with the towels-CMA- these micro fiber towels are incredible, noticeably less drag than cotton and boy do they soak up the water-instantly, but just where does it go? Two cars absolutely dry, the towel isn't really wet, isn't really heavy and it is...

Porter Cable RA-is it my imagination or?

Does the the slightest amount of downward pressure stop the circular action and induce only vibrating pads? Contrast this to my Cyclo and the orbital action clearly is visible with downward pressure. ??

    Two new neat products

If you haven't got one of these give it some thought. Aluminum platform from either Griots or Sporty's (mine from Sporty's) is handy BUT is NOT all aluminum as advertised. The threads are galvanized steel. Very low profile floor jack with quick lift pedal from AC believe it or not it isn't...

    Klasse really is idiot proof

Make no mistake about it, I have done some really dumb things. However even I cannot screw up an application of Klasse, even on my first try. I did have the benefit of all the great advice on this site, but still there is the variable of ME! I did 'experiment' on my lovely wife's new...

    'Fit' vegetable cleaner

Have done a search on this and the topic doesn't seem to have been discussed, apologies if I missed it. Am well into Klasseing my new VW TDI today, just got in to take a break and started washing my hands with the usual stuff to take off the AIO but was having a problem getting soap to suds...

    Info overload, Z v K and topping

Fantastic site, great info but am thorougly confused. After a very long search, stopped counting at 38 pages, the consensus APPEARS to be that the Z or K process is enhanced with a topping of wax. Doesn't that imply that wax is 'better'. Something else to ponder, if you have the...

    Aluminum car platforms

Has anyone else purchased one of those 'all' aluminum car platforms and discovered that it is not all aluminum?, mine has galvanized steel for the threads-unless of course the Germans are using a new aluminum alloy which attracts a magnet and has spangles just like galvanized steel..

Removing ink from leather, was I lucky?

I borrowed by wifes new Passat, got ink on the passenger side leather seat and in an act of desperation used bug and tar remover to save by neck. It worked perfectly, no discoloration, just as perfect as before I goofed up. Was I lucky?
