What about doing a one-step with one of Griot's All-in-One ("AIO") products? With that approach, once you've finished with the "polishing step" you can quit because the AIO will leave some protection behind. Then you could add something more durable after the next regular wash. I would not...

Bull8791- Griot's has a number of different kits...which of their combos are you looking at? As noted, the G9 is a good unit, especially with a 5" plate. Unless you're planning to do a big correction (aggressive polishing to remove scratches/swirls/etc.) I'd recommend you try an All-In-One...

I've had occasion to use my G13 recently, and I love it! I've only used it with GG 3" pads, but zero complaints and as expected I do greatly prefer it over my Rupes (let alone my PCs). I debated returning my G8when I got the G13, but instead I set the G8 up for use with1-2" pads.

Setec- OK, thanks for explaining. I wondered since my IUDJ is so superior. On some surfaces IUDJ is mandatory lest the ONR leave streaks.

Every time I use an AIO for my Finishing Polish, I'm completely satisfied and glad I went that route. At least with AIOs you don't have to deal with Polishing Oils, which can drive me nuts. Trying to get [crap] like Meguiar's TSO's out of my paint drives me nuts, and having issues "reappear"...

At least with a replacement the issues are somebody else's problem. Windshields and headlights are things I just replace assuming parts are available, and I'll probably sell the vehicle if they're not.

No issues from using 303 on the blades? I've never done anything except clean mine and they last pretty much indefinitely. Well, yeah...we're not driving all that much these days, but still...

Setec- Any significant diffs with those vs. v2.0. I've heard that they're more compatible with LSPs (e.g., Collinite, which v2.0 utterly trashes), but that's all I know to be different.

Setec- That dilution doesn't streak or cause other issues (I don't use it on glass), and I sure won't mind if I ever use up all of that ONR v2.0.
