Lower use Daily Driver-need lsp suggestions

Risely- A G-wagon is pretty big....the spray would be enough work for Yours Truly even if I were a user of Coatings. Sounds like you're happy with it, so I wouldn't try to fix what isn't broken.

TGates- You ever try that EF Clear Pearl as a Drying Aid? And yeah...I *still* have another jug of it on the shelf! Bull6791- The short-answer is that you can use anything that won't mess with your LSP. SprayWax, Quick Detailers, Rinseless Washes...I've had great results with all of those...

Bull6791- FWIW, my guidelines for "when to reapply" are: 1) before it needs doing. Stay one step ahead by re-LSPing every now and then even though it's obviously not necessary. If you use something really quick and easy (e.g., SprayLSP as a Drying Aid) you can keep a car "just waxed" with...

Any Interest in Griot`s New G13 Mini Long-Throw Orbital??

Lonnie- Yeah, sigh...I *DO* have to break that iBrid out of its box and see what I think of it. I didn't end up needing it (or my G8 with the 1" conversion) the last time I did a Detail, but if I do the latest, uhm...accumulation...instead of just selling it (yeah, big "oops!" :o ) I'll sure...

Which products act like trim restorer and can be reversible?

I used the GG Ceramic Trim Restorer on some plastic interior bits that had the same appearance and it worked great, although some areas needed a few applications. Of course (disclaimer time!), that doesn't mean it'll work for anybody else's issues ;) But like their Rubber Prep, the Ceramic...

Any safe proven products to neutralize winter salt on bodywork and undercarriage?

Remember to flush out the Fuel Filler Coves on vehicles that have them, especially the back side where the filler neck comes out going to the tank. Some vehicles even have foam in this area, and that can really get loaded up with salt.

Any safe proven products to neutralize winter salt on bodywork and undercarriage?

Setec- Well, yeah...you got me searching for a way to incorporate the foamcannon into the undercar sprayer. And yeah, I do think about how to fabricate a means of combining that with the BHB too, that'd be ideal.

Any safe proven products to neutralize winter salt on bodywork and undercarriage?

Setec- Thanks for mentioning that! I just now ordered the ToolDaily foamcannon setup to use with my DetailKing unit. *NOW* I oughta be all set!

Any safe proven products to neutralize winter salt on bodywork and undercarriage?

Setec- Yes indeed, the right facilities do make all the difference. If I didn't have the current shop I'd just pay somebody to do this stuff (not that I can find anybody good, or they'd already be doing it ;) ). I just got this: https://www.detailking.com/products/under-carriage-cleaner-20...

Any safe proven products to neutralize winter salt on bodywork and undercarriage?

Setec- Gee, that sounds like the Disposable Car approach that I can't quite bring myself to do with, well... anything.

Any safe proven products to neutralize winter salt on bodywork and undercarriage?

Lonnie & Silly Rabbit- Good on you for mentioning the Salt-Away. Wonder if it trashes LSPs? Setec- You doing OK on salt mitigation even without the Salt-Away?

Bull6791- I suspect most people don't realize it until they see rust-blooms. Using a color-indicator Iron Remover will basically just show whether it was necessary or...whether you just wasted resources trying to fix something that wasn't broken after all! Processes like the baggie-test can...

Any safe proven products to neutralize winter salt on bodywork and undercarriage?

Risley- Welcome to Autopia! I commend you for caring about the areas that don't show! I'm a fanatic about my undercarriages/etc. so your Q resonates with me :D Automotive International/ValuGard (yes, SIC) sells a product called ProGard VG-502 made just for this, and VG stuff is approved by...

MisterSnoop- That *is* worth mentioning, how the CAIO takes a bit of work to get out of the pads! A good Pad Cleaning Product can help a lot, but yeah...still a lot of work under hot water (and wearing nitrile gloves). I always dedicate my pads to specific products, so having those "just for...

Bull6791- As with TGates' advice (excellent per usual!), the info you'd heard about number/cleaning pads was pretty good. My short answer about the number of pads is always "a lot more than you'd ever imagine!" and that's not really facetious. OK, I'm pretty fanatical about this topic, but you...

Sizzle Chest- I hope I share your opinion of the GG creams as I plan to use them next time I have to do a major correction (well, in addition to M101). Bull6791- IIRC, Toyotas are still on the "somewhat soft normal" range with regard to hardness. Griot's used a black Toyota for their video...

Bull6791- It's pretty inconceivable that you'd do any damage with something like Griot's Ceramic AIO :D But I sincerely commend you for thinking along those lines, you're smart to take it easy and not "polish away too much clearcoat", a danger that some people don't take seriously. If...
